Red team engagement and authorized security testing

Test whether the defenses interrupt a realistic attack path. Agree the objective, permissions and stopping conditions before testing starts.

Who this is for

For security leaders and business owners who need evidence about an agreed attack scenario and the controls their organization relies on.

Questions the work should answer

  • What business outcome must the test protect?
  • Which targets, identities and techniques are explicitly authorized?
  • Which detections and response decisions should the test exercise?
  • What evidence will distinguish a demonstrated path from a theoretical weakness?

What you receive

An attack-path record, evidence-backed findings ranked by business impact, recommended fixes, and an executive debrief.

How the evidence supports a decision

The report connects each demonstrated path to the conditions that made it possible and the changes that would interrupt it. The executive debrief explains business impact and limitations. A successful test does not establish that every weakness has been found.

What to bring to the first conversation

Bring the business objective, proposed targets, existing testing constraints and the person authorized to approve the work. Third-party systems and physical locations require their own permission. We identify emergency contacts and stopping conditions in the rules of engagement.

Before you commit

Is this the same as running a vulnerability scanner?

No. The engagement tests an authorized scenario and documents the path, evidence and relevant control behavior. Its exact techniques and targets are agreed in writing.

Does the fee include future retesting?

Retesting and additional targets need to be agreed before that work starts. The written scope determines what is included.

Work you can inspect

Read before the conversation.
